Cluster G Local Planning and Coordinating Council Serving Johnson, Hamilton, Hendricks, Marion, Morgan and Tipton Counties

The First Steps Local Planning and Coordinating Council (LPCC) is a voluntary group composed of families whose children have special needs and representatives of organizations providing early intervention and transition services.

The Council exists to bring together service providers, other stakeholders (e.g. community partners), and consumers of early intervention services for children with special needs, primarily age 0-5 years, to routinely share current information of common interest and to plan, monitor, organize, and implement a coordinated and comprehensive delivery system of early intervention services within each county of the Central Indiana First Steps Cluster.

In addition to the full council meetings, many committees are available on which individuals may serve.  These include:

·        Executive Committee

·        Family Outreach and Quality Assurance

·        Functions of the LPCC Committee

·        Public Awareness and Child Find Committee

·        Provider Issues Committee

·        Transition Committee

Your input is vital to First Steps!  Full LPCC meetings are held quarterly and most committee meetings occur monthly.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend!

“Being involved with the LPCC has given me the opportunity to be a part of improving services for current First Steps families.”
